This is going to be a two part post (part 2 is here), covering my thoughts and ideas about the current series of Doctor Who.
Mmm, the title probably already covered all of that, but anyway, the first part of the post will cover my ideas about just what is going on in the story, the second one my thoughts about the direction/quality of the new series.

Thoughts on ‘The Impossible Astronaut’
Right I’ve just watched the first episode of the new season of Doctor Who, again! That makes it 4 times now, well I wasn’t really watching this time, just running it past ScreenFlow to record it and by pass the built in expiry date on BBC iPlayer (I’m a bad boy I know).
Anyway, I have some observations that I wanted to get out now, so I could prove I had them before seeing the second part tomorrow…

TiVo To Brick All Remaining UK PVRs On June 1: ‘Perhaps in order to encourage existing users of UK Tivo units to change their TV service to Virgin Media, pay £149 for a new Virgin TiVo that they wont actually own, plus £34.50 per month in service charges, Tivo is to cancel all EPG data service to all the Tivos still in use in the country — and existing units will become basically nonfunctional at that time. The faithful aren’t amused, having stuck by the company for several years, and mostly paying £120 per annum for service until now.’
