I have one person I feel is a real friend and some more at work I like but essentially FaceBook did absolutely nothing for me, so I left and deleted my account. No point in something which doesn't enhance your life. Twitter makes me laugh and gives me info I'm interested in because I choose whose tweets I see and I mostly follow funny people or them whose field of experience interests me.

Nice post Mark.

Mark: I just switched to Numbers for home use because I don't do big complicated spreadsheets with VBA at home. Mostly I just have simple lists (like which agents I've queried and the results) or easy stats.

The main reason I bought Numbers is because I felt like Excel really bogged down my MacBook and I found that I dreaded opening it.

My biggest complaint with Numbers is just that simple things like Format Cells are hidden in the Inspector, and I'm having to get used to where everything is. But for what I need at home it's fine. And I still have Excel if I ever want it.

Good recap. Thanks.

I couldn't agree more. I love your idea about using the Quick Reference window for your character sheet. I've been using it in full screen to view the synopsis to remind me of the scene direction.

And thanks for the mention. That was a pleasant surprise. =)

Hey, Mark. Thanks for the mention. I think routine makes a lot of the difference, and NaNo is forcing me to create one or suffer. ;-) Just feel I need to clarify that I'm not published yet (though I liked the sound of it!). Still searching for an agent at this point. Good luck with NaNo, your new routine, and the 5-year plan!

Internet Explorer 8 is very good because it is as stable as Opera. I hate the previous versions of IE like IE6 because it hangs frequently. ~
